Overview
School of Commerce was established in the year 2019 with rich experienced faculty members and well-disciplined student fertility. The core objective of the school is to provide an ICT based curriculum to match with the industry need. The school evolves to maintain academic excellence and equip students with the skills to face the challenges in a competitive world at global scenario. There is a blend of theoretical and practical exposure to the students to showcase their talents through Seminars, Guest Lectures, Workshops and Internships. Very Strong platform is available to professional aspirants to establish their skills on professional courses like CA/CMA/ACS.KPR IAS academy also trains the students to reach the administrative positions. The school also encourages the students to participate on internal house competitions, inter-collegiate technical and cultural events to nurture their talent. The School of commerce has also signed an MoU with industry and institute to give the practical exposure on professional courses, taxation, tally and other related fields. The School of Commerce focuses on research activities to nurture social responsibility among faculties and students with commitment and integrity towards innovation.

School Outcomes

Association Inauguration
“E-Vanijya” association was inaugurated on 24.07.19 by Dr.Maheshwaran Rajagopal, Chairman, ISCI, and Coimbatore Chapter. He addressed the students and motivated them to do higher professional courses. He gave the outline on the source for doing professional courses.
Industrial Visits
Industrial Visit was organized for I B.Com (CA) Students on 21.08.2019 they visited M/s. KPR Mill Limited, Arasur, Coimbatore, they interacted with the officials and learnt Production Process, Production Schedule, re-order level , TQM, 5s, 6 Sigma etc.,
Guest Lectures
“E-Vanijya” Organized a Guest Lecture on “Mathematics for Finance”. Resource Person was Dr.D.Gunasekaran, Professor, PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. He elaborated the importance of Mathematics in finance. He shared his experiences and recent updates in mathematical field with the students.
E-Vanijya organized a Guest Lecture on “Impact of Union Budget 2020 – 2021” on 28th February 2020. The Resource Person was CA. V.Karthick, Founder Partner, SVVK Associates, Coimbatore. He gave an insight on source of revenue for the government, kinds of Taxes and its amendments.
Workshop
January 28th 2020, Department of Commerce with Computer Applications has organized a Workshop on “Business Application Software – Tally”. The Resource Person for event was Mr. R. Hariraj, Senior Manager – Training, CADD Technologies. The resource person elaborated the recent updates in Tally software and gave hand-on training for the students.
Career Guidance Program
E-Vanijya organized Career Guidance Program “Ensuring success in Competitive Examinations” on 02.08.19. The Resource person was Ms.Tamil Oviya, IAS she gave an outline on preparation for civil service examination.
