Faculty Profile
Dr. R.S. Sripoorni is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Commerce at KPR College of Arts Science and Research since 2022. She holds a Ph.D., M.Phil., and M.A. in Economics from Avinashilingam Institute, Coimbatore. She began her career as a Project Fellow (UGC) on “An Empirical Analysis on Watershed in Coimbatore District” (2012–2013) and served as part-time teaching staff for General Studies (2014–2016) at Avinashilingam Institute. She joined KG College of Arts and Science as an Assistant Professor in 2017. Her expertise includes Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics, Banking, and Entrepreneurial Development. She has over a decade of research experience and more than eight years of teaching, with publications, conference presentations, and contributions to book chapters. She has also received ICSSR funding for a national seminar on “The Challenges of Cryptocurrency in India and Orientation of Indicoin” (2019).
