Prof. Sivalingam has published 133 articles in international journals and conference proceedings, co-authored one book chapter, and his work has received 1,856 citations with a h-index of 23 & i10-index of 60. His research interests include the synthesis of organic/inorganic hybrid nanomaterials and their applications in sensors for food analysis, environmental monitoring, and medical diagnostics. He also works on electronic devices, environmental pollutant removal, photoelectric/piezoelectric/triboelectric self-powered gas sensor arrays, nanogenerators, photoelectrochemical detection of biomolecules, electrolyte-gated phototransistors, and gate-extended FET-based biosensors.

Dr. S.P. Sreekala completed her Ph.D. in Management Studies from PSG College of Technology, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. She is an experienced academician with more than two decades of postgraduate (MBA) teaching experience, specializing in Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Finance. She has successfully guided over 17 international research scholars and is currently guiding 4 Ph.D. scholars under Bharathiar University. Dr. Sreekala is recognized for her strong contribution to research, academic leadership, and higher education development.
Objective
- To create an in-house milieu to foster research culture and provide the needed support through research framework and guidelines.
- To ensure a high level of appropriate and effective support system to facilitate faculty and researchers in their research activities.
- To encourage publications in quality journals indexed in Scopus/Web of Science, UGC CARE/ABDC journals, and other reputed peer-reviewed journals.
- To promote an interdisciplinary forum for National and International collaboration.
- To encourage, maintain, and support research activities in the college and strengthen the research and scientific mindset among students and faculty through a system of incentives and rewards.
Research Promotion Policy
KPR College of Arts, Science and Research is on its course to be among the top-notch institutions in India and across the globe in a short span of time. This document provides information on the research policy & promotional activities of KPRCAS. The policy aims at ensuring that the research activities of the college conform to all applicable rules and regulations of statutory bodies such as the affiliating University and UGC, etc. Established standards and norms relating to safety, ethics, and the environment will be fully complied with during the conduct of any research activity.
Undertaking Research
- All students and faculty undertaking research are expected to maintain high standards of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Create and maintain research infrastructure in terms of equipment, research journals, books, and software.
- Develop a policy framework that encourages researchers through concessions, incentives, and awards.
- Develop and implement an official Code of Ethics to check malpractices and plagiarism in research.
- Promote Interdepartmental / Interdisciplinary research.
