About the Library

The College Library was established in the year 2019. It is spacious, well-ventilated, and designed to provide a comfortable and conducive learning environment for students and faculty. The library having an extensive collection of 10,000 volumes of books, along with 94 printed national and international journals and 6 printed magazines. In addition, a fully air conditioned Digital Library is equipped with 30 systems, enabling users to access a wide range of e-books and e-journals.

To support academic and research activities, the library provides dedicated facilities including a Research Scholars' Discussion and Review Cabin, an IDEA Cabin, a Competitive Examinations Preparation Cabin, and an Innovation Cabin. These specialized spaces are designed to encourage research, collaborative learning, and creative thinking among students and faculty members.

Library Rules and Regulations

ID Card Scanning

All staff and students are required to wear their identification cards and to scan their barcode ID cards at the E-Gate Register Scanner upon entering and exiting the Library.

Silence Policy

Absolute silence must be observed in the Library.

Lost ID Card

In the event of a lost ID card, the student must obtain a permission letter from the Principal or Head of Department.

Dress Code

Students must adhere to a formal dress code to be granted permission to attend.

ID Card Non-Transferable

Library books will be issued exclusively to staff and students upon presentation of their own valid ID cards. As ID cards are strictly non-transferable, books may not be issued using another individual's ID card.

Staff Borrowing Limits

Staff members are permitted to borrow a maximum of six books at a time for a period of one month and are required to return the books to the library on or before the specified due date.

Student Borrowing Limits

Students enrolled in an UG degree program may borrow a maximum of four books, while those pursuing a PG degree may borrow up to six books. All borrowed books must be returned or renewed within 14 working days from the date of issue.

Borrowing Procedure

Personal Belongings

Students are prohibited from bringing books, bags, or other personal belongings into the library and must place their items on the Personal Property Racks. However, they are allowed to bring a notebook and an A4 sheet solely for the purpose of taking notes.

Damage Responsibility

In the event that a book issued to a student is found to be damaged, the student shall be held responsible for replacing it.

Lost Book Policy

In the event that a borrower loses a book and is unable to replace it within two weeks, only the current edition of the book will be accepted as a replacement. Should the borrower fail to provide the current edition, they shall be charged twice the original cost of the book. The fine must be paid at the office, and the corresponding receipt presented at the library.

Non-Issuable Items

Reference books, periodicals, project reports, and university examination question papers shall under no circumstances be issued.

No Sub-Lending

The sub-lending or transfer of borrowed books is strictly prohibited, and the borrower shall bear full responsibility for the care and return of the book.

Book Placement

Any book removed from the shelf must be returned to its original location, with the title clearly visible on the rack.

No Alteration of Shelves

Students are strictly prohibited from altering the arrangement of books on the shelves. Furthermore, any form of marking, underlining, or similar modifications to books and periodicals is strictly forbidden.

No Dues Certificate

All students and staff members leaving the college for any reason during the term must return all library books and obtain a No Dues Certificate prior to their departure.

Avoid Disturbances

Staff and students are respectfully requested to avoid any conversations or activities in the Reading Hall that could disturb other readers.

Furniture & Equipment

Library chairs and tables must remain in their designated positions, and individuals are required to turn off the fans upon exiting the library.

Mobile Phones

Readers are respectfully requested to switch off their mobile phones.

E-Resources Access

Students are hereby informed that access to e-journals and e-books via the DELNET and NDLI web portals is available through the Digital Library.

Discussion Cabins

Students actively participate in hackathons, as well as national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops, where they have the opportunity to engage in group discussions within designated discussion cabins on their respective topics.

Reader to Leader Programme

The Reader to Leader Programme is an innovative initiative designed to transform avid readers into future leaders.
