Introduction
Dr.S.Sasikala received B.Sc (Computer Science) degree from Bharathiar University and MCA degree from Bharathidasan University. She has also received qualified degree of M.Phil in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University and Ph.D in Computer Science from Dravidian University. She has 20 years of Academic experience with 18 years of strong administrative experience and 14 years in the field of research.
Dr.S.Sasikala’s research has spanned with specialization in Datamining, Pattern recognition, neural networks, and applications to Bio Informatics. She has authored 21 research papers in reputed UGC referred and Scopus indexed international Journals. She has also participated and presented 26 papers in National/International Conferences in various reputed institutions. She has completed research project from University Grants Commission. In course of her research and teaching, Professor Sasikala has mentored over hundreds of post graduate students and guided several scholars for M,Phil and Ph,D. She has been as a Convener to organize 10 National/International Conferences and Seminars and organized 18 faculty development programmes
Professor S.Sasikala holds the Chairman of Board of Studies for the entire School of Computer Science for the past 12 years. She has been a part as an academic expert in BOS in various reputed institutions She has vast experience in NAAC Accreditation and for obtaining Autonomous Status. She holds in-depth knowledge in Effective implementation of Outcome Based Education. She has been a member of Advisory Committee, Member of Academic Board, Member of Standing Committee on Academic Affairs. She has also been a Member of IQAC, Internal Complaints Committee and ISO standards.
